“GENEALOGY IS A FASCINATING FIELD OF STUDY IN THAT THE DISCOVERY OF THE LINKS THAT CONNECT THE FAMILIES GIVES THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY HOLD HANDS THROUGH TIME AND HISTORY! IT’S A DELIGHT TO SHARE MY ENDEAVORS WITH OTHERS.”

- Sandi Johnson

Sandi Johnson is a fifth generation Floridian whose ancestors settled in the Florida frontier in the 1840’s,seeking land and opportunity. Her connection to this heritage led to a lifetime achievement in historical research of the people, places and events in Florida history. Her dedication to seeking knowledge from reliable resources has earned her the recognition of her colleagues and others.

A graduate of the University of Florida in Bachelor of Arts in education, Ms. Johnson’s professional career spanned decades as an educator, author, Curator and later Director of the Brevard Museum of Natural Sciences and History in Cocoa, Florida. The Beville family were of Franco Norman origin who entered England at the conquest in 1066 and remained for 600 years as Anglo-Normans- the Englishmen. Essex Beville migrated to colonial Virginia in about 1670.
